Man arrested for burning Mexican Flag

Wow:

A Tucson man was arrested Tuesday for his role in the burning of a Mexican flag as part of a counterprotest at a pro-immigration rally.

At about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Tucson police cited Roy Warden, 58, on suspicion of assault, criminal damage and reckless burning, and then released him, according to Sgt. Decio Hopffer.

GOP Bloggers points out that if you burn an America Flag in America that is freedom of speech. It is either none or all. You can destroy our flag, but not there's. Do you agree with that? Or should that be changed?

Steve White in trouble again

Well democrat congressional candidate Steve White is in trouble yet again. You may remember he was investaget for showing;

The clip refers to President Bush as an a–hole and includes disparaging remarks about top people in the Bush administration, as well as Fox News personalities such as Bill O’Reilly.

If that is not bad enough it looks like Steve White did almost the same thing again, except against Bill Clinton.

White, who is a Democratic candidate for the District 4 seat on the state House of Representatives, was previously accused of showing an offensive Internet video against the Bush administration to his eighth grade science class at West Limestone High School.

“We’ve had some calls from parents about other allegations and we are talking to students,” Carroll said. “We hope by (Tuesday) we will be able to determine something and move in whatever direction we need to.”

Carroll did not describe the new complaints but one parent said an obscene video showing an animated Bill Clinton was shown to students.

This is wrong, forcing your beliefs onto other people, who are 8th grade students. This seems like grounds for removal from his position. Does he think this is helping him? Liberals might not even vote for him. These actions need to be ended immediately. At the least White should have no contact with any school computer for the time being.

I especially love that White forced a young man in his class to say "John Kerry Rocks," before leaving class.

Counter Protester Beat

A Counter protester to the immigration rallies today was beat.

Dozens of people pressing for rights for illegal immigrants gathered for a peaceful demonstration on Monday just minutes after a counter-protestor was bloodied by a teenager who hid his face with a bandanna.

The attacker, described as a Hispanic teenager, went after one of three white people carrying signs arguing that illegals have no rights, police said.

As the teen fled, the victim dropped to the pavement after being hit with something heavy that the teen had carried, possibly in a sock or a bandanna, said Portland Police Sgt. Robin Gauvin. There were no arrests as of late afternoon.

The victim, identified as Robert Gorman, 23, of Portland, was hauled away in an ambulance minutes before 200 people gathered. He was treated and released from Maine Medical Center.

Hope this man recovers. When things like this happen, nobody wins.

Look what the Dems are doing now

This is another ridiculous thing from Democrats. It is regarding the immigration situation.

A number of photoswere taken at yesterday's Dallas illegal immigrant protest, including this one of a Democrat recruitment flyer encouraging Mexican immigrants to vote for Democrats in 2006.

For those who favor barrier….

Blogs for Bush had this.

April 7, 2006–A Rasmussen Reports national opinion survey asked Americans to choose between two hypothetical candidates with differing positions on the immigration issue.

"One candidate favors building a barrier along the Mexican border and forcing illegal aliens to leave the United States. The other candidate favors expanding the ways that foreign workers can legally get jobs in the United States."

Forty-six percent (46%) of Americans said that they prefer the candidate with the harder line on illegal aliens while 38% opt for the candidate who wants to expand legal opportunities for foreign workers to find jobs.

So for those who support the barrier, this is good news for you, and your possible favorite candidate. Is this a good thing for America? leave a comment let the world know.

Pro-Life, Why not America?

This is a very interesting story.

It was a sunny midafternoon in a shiny new global-economy mall in San Salvador, the capital city of El Salvador, and a young woman I was hoping to meet appeared to be getting cold feet. She had agreed to rendezvous with a go-between not far from the Payless shoe store and then come to a nearby hotel to talk to me. She was an hour late. Alone in the hotel lobby, I was feeling nervous; I was stood up the day before by another woman in a similar situation. I had been warned that interviewing anyone who had had an abortion in El Salvador would be difficult. The problem was not simply that in this very Catholic country a shy 24-year-old unmarried woman might feel shame telling her story to an older man. There was also the criminal stigma. And this was why I had come to El Salvador: Abortion is a serious felony here for everyone involved, including the woman who has the abortion. Some young women are now serving prison sentences, a few as long as 30 years.

Can you believe a country considered third world is above America regarding the abortion issue. Abortion should be illegal. Murder is murder, no matter how you think about it. Bravo El Salvador, maybe America should follow.Darkflame.org

Dems in Vermont: Impeachment

You have Ben Affleck, now you have Vermont Democrats, Howard Deans home state.     www.americanchronicle.com

Democratic Party leaders in Vermont on Saturday passed a motion asking Congress to immediately begin impeachment proceedings against President Bush.

In an elementary school cafeteria strewn with American flags and copies of the U.S. Constitution, some 100 state party officials agreed to make the request to the U.S. House of Representatives.

"You know in your own hearts and minds that something is terribly wrong in this country," said Margaret Lucenti, a Democrat from Vermont's capital Montpelier.

The measure asks the Republican-controlled House to pass articles of impeachment against Bush for misleading the nation on Iraq's weapons of mass destruction and engaging in illegal wiretapping, among other charges.

Democratic state committees in Wisconsin, New Mexico, Nevada and North Carolina have taken similar steps.

Congress does not care what any democratic state committee thinks. This is just more ranting and raving. This shows how Howard Dean is leading the democratic party. This is the only better for Republicans, it turns independents and undecideds off from voting democratic, so for all you out there Republican all the way.

Dodds Found Alive

CNNDemocrat Congressional candidate Chris Dodds who went missing the other day after a car crash has been found alive.

A congressional hopeful wrecked his car and wandered a mile in a daze, swimming across a river and then huddling under leaves for warmth until he was found alive a day later, officials and relatives said.

Gary Dodds, 41, was taken to a hospital to be treated for hypothermia late Thursday. His wife, Cynthia, said Friday that he was doing well but has only foggy memories of his ordeal and "definitely had a good bump to the head."

Dodds crashed on the Spaulding Turnpike on Wednesday evening, but emergency workers who arrived a few minutes later found his car empty. When Dodds failed to come home or contact his family, authorities began a search by air and on foot.

"He believes he may have swerved to miss a deer or something in the road," she told WMUR-TV. "He jumped out of the vehicle. He thought it was on fire."

Never want anything bad to happen to anyone like this. Wondering if more will come out of this. It seems very odd, at the least after the accident he was very dazed and confused, that is a possibility.

Couric to leave

Today Katie Couric announced she would leave the "Today" show at the end of may. Couric will takeover CBS Nightly News.  The New York Times

Katie Couric, the most successful host in the more than 50-year history of NBC's "Today" show, told her audience of more than 6 million viewers this morning that she will step down from the program and leave NBC when her contract concludes at the end of next month.

Ms. Couric announced formally what has been predicted for several months, that she will jump to CBS, where she will become the first woman ever to lead an evening newscast on her own. CBS confirmed today that Ms. Couric will be anchor and managing editor of "The CBS Evening News With Katie Couric" beginning in September. She will also contribute to the network's venerable newsmagazine program "60 Minutes."

"I'm personally so excited that Katie Couric is coming to the CBS News family," said Leslie Moonves, president and chief executive of CBS Corporation. "With this move, our news division takes yet another giant leap forward."

Ms. Couric, whose 15-year tenure as host of "Today" was celebrated this morning — the anniversary of her first morning as co-host of the program — with a clip of her first appearance on the show in 1991 with then-partner Bryant Gumbel, told the audience of her plans, saying, "after listening to my heart and my gut, two things that have served me pretty well in the past, I've decided I'll be leaving 'Today' at the end of May."

Ms. Coruic described it as a "really difficult decision" first, because of the relationship she had established with the "Today" audience, which she said had "been with me through a lot of good times and some very difficult ones."

Couric has been rumored of taking this job for many months. It has finally came to reality. So no more Bob Schieffer.

And for those who are wondering:

No mention was made of her successor, but NBC has nearly concluded an agreement with Meredith Vieira of ABC to replace Ms. Couric.

Under the terms of the deal, which was expected to be resolved by week's end, Ms. Vieira would sign a four-year contract worth at least $10 million a year and would take up her morning assignment on NBC just after Labor Day, said the person, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the conversations were continuing.

Dems shaking in there boots

Michael Steele Republican for Senate in Maryland has the Democrats shaking in there boots.AP

An internal document prepared by a top Democratic strategist warns that a majority of African American voters in Maryland are open to supporting Republican Senate candidate Michael S. Steele and advises the party not to wait to "knock Steele down."

The 37-page report says a sizable segment of likely black voters — as much as 44 percent — would readily abandon their historic Democratic allegiances "after hearing Steele's messaging."

"Governor Ehrlich and [Lt. Gov.] Michael Steele have a clear ability to break through the Democratic stronghold among African American voters in Maryland," says the March 27 report by Cornell Belcher, polling consultant for the Democratic National Committee, which bases its findings on a survey of 489 black voters in Maryland conducted last month.

The report, given to The Washington Post this week, drills into a topic that has emerged as a key focus of this year's U.S. Senate contest in Maryland: race.

You go Steele keep up the good work. Support Steele, he has had a hard time by people saying he is running in the wrong party. Steele knows what he is doing, a true Republican, looks like the first African American elected to statewide office in Maryland will become Senator if he keeps the work up.

Sorry, Hugging is dangerous!?

Now come on people this is as stupid as banning patriotic clothing.

A Maynard family is outraged after they said their daughter was forced to write a letter of apology for hugging a classmate. The parents said children should not be disciplined for being affectionate. The school said the child lifted her classmate off the ground.

I would be outraged to, come on now. This is going to be posted under America Banned. Hugging? This stuff gets me more mad every day!

Democart Missing

You don't hear this to often.

A massive search is under way for New Hampshire congressional candidate Gary Dodds, who disappeared without a trace following a single-car accident last night, New Hampshire state police officials told ABC News.

Dodds' wife, Cynthia, remained today at the scene of the accident, along the southbound side of New Hampshire's Spaulding turnpike, where state and local police and area fire departments have been searching with dogs, helicopters and marine patrol divers, senior campaign staffer Bonnie Winona said.

New Hampshire state police have issued a missing persons bulletin, a spokesman said.

The accident occurred near the Great Bay, an inland tidal estuary, Winona said.

Dodds, one of the Democratic challengers to U.S. Rep. Jeb Bradley, left a Democratic committee meeting in Somersworth, N.H., and was traveling to Portsmouth to meet with a campaign fiscal agent, with whom Dodds was to finish some federal election commission filings, Winona said.

"He never showed up for the [8:30 p.m.] meeting.

Even if he is a democrat, stuff like this is not funny. Drugs and alchol have been ruled out.

Just in case you live in the area;

Dodds is described as 6 feet 3 inches tall, and weighing 180 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.

Anyone who witnessed the accident or has information about Dodds is asked to call New Hampshire state police at 603-679-3333.

If you know anything give police a call. RightSide will keep you posted on any developments in this missing person case.

“Patriotic” cloths ban

This makes me very angry.

The immigration debate and demonstrations caused a middle school in Adams County to change their dress code.

Students at Shaw Heights Middle School are no longer allowed to wear anything that's patriotic, including camouflage pants, because they have become a political symbol for a version of patriotism.

"It upsets me that we cannot support our troops, the military," said Kirsten Golgart, an eighth grader who was told she'd be suspended if she didn't change her clothes. "We can't support our country. If we're American, I think we should be proud to be an American."

A letter went home to parents last week that explained for student safety, no clothes were allowed with political messages or flags of any sort.

Well this is out of line. In America we should be able to wear what ever we want, especially if it is Patriotic. Please people do you see whats going on. You can't even support the military!

Tom Delay will not run

Tom Delay the former Republican Majority leader in the House of Represenatatives today Reutersannounced he would not run for re-election. Speculation has swirled about weather he would run or not since he has been under investigation in his home state of Texas.

Republican Rep. Tom DeLay of Texas, the House of Representatives' fallen majority leader, announced on Tuesday the end of a re-election fight he was in jeopardy of losing and said he would soon step down from the U.S. Congress.

"It's time for me to go do something else," DeLay told Fox News.

DeLay insisted that he did not feel defeated in the face of legal battles and blamed politics for his woes, which have included an indictment in Texas on campaign finance charges and a Capitol Hill lobbying scandal that so far has ensnared two of his former aides.

The shock announcement came 12 years after DeLay helped Republicans capture control of the House. Democrats have sought to make DeLay and Republican ethical scandals an issue as they try to recapture the chamber this year in November elections.

Thank you Tom Delay for your serivce. This is the worst thing that can happen. They cant beat him the right way, so they have to beat him the wrong way. Thanks Tom, until next time, Thanks for the memories.
